How-To Tuesday: Pack a Suitcase

Since I am in the middle of packing my bags to head home I thought I would share with you how I pack a suitcase.

• Check the weather of your destination

• Where your bulkiest clothes and shoes to save suitcase space

• On your bed, gather all the clothes you'd like to bring with you. Don't forget socks, undies, PJs, belt, going out outfit, a dress, a couple hoodies for if it gets cold and work out clothes. If you are like me you wear your comfy shoes to travel, include a couple more pairs of shoes (flip flops, heels/pumps something for going out in and I now bring running shoes).

• Thin out the pack, with the exception of socks, undies and outing dress, put your clothes to the mix-match test. If any item can only be worn as a single outfit, put it back in the closet and it can be worn when you return home.

• While getting ready write down the toiletries that you use so you can make sure that you bring them with you! These are things you don't want to forget.

• Fold each of your pants in half lengthwise and stck them on top of each other from most wrinkle prone to least. Starting at the bottom of your pants, roll them together, until they form a tight cylinder. Place the roll, seam-side down, in your suitcase. Repeat with t-shirts, tanks, undies and sundresses.

• Fold dressy items and lay them on top of the rolls.

• Put your shoes in bags and place them on top so they do not ruin your pretty clothes!
