Your hair it's everywhere

When it comes to hair care I may not be the most high maintenance person. However I am pretty close. My locks mean a lot to me, and I try to take care of them the best I can.

I recently had the opportunity to be an at home "Pantenologists." Where I got to conduct four customized tests to help me find out if my hair will be best treated with the medium-thick, fine, curly, or color collection of products.

•Fine: Fine hair has up to 50% less protein. Pantene Fine Hair Solutions provide reinforcement to keep hair from falling flat. You'll go from lifeless to light and bouncy.

• Medium-Thick: Thick hair absorbs up to 40% more moisture. Which can lead to frizz. Pantene Medium-Thick hair solutions offer options designed to make unruly hair shiny and manageable.

• Curly: Curly hair has a unique growth pattern; as it curls, the cuticle can weaken, leaving it rough and unruly. Pantene Curly Hair Series transforms curly hair to help loosen or define curls as well as control frizz.

• Color: Color-treated hair is changed at a structural level. Its natural protective layer is removed. This is one reason why over time, color may look dull. Pantene’s Color Preserve collections create a water-resistant layer to slow water absorption and leave color vibrant.

Pantene has a new line of shampoos and conditioners that are made custom for your hair. There are a few test to go through to find out what type your hair actually is.

Here I am in my lab coat and glasses being scientific when it comes to hair! If only science classes would have been this much fun!

Here is one of the test to check out if you have thick or thin hair. You make a ponytail and hold it between your index finger and thumb. If it's about the size of a penny or larger you have thick hair.

This test was to check for color damage. You roll a piece of your hair into a ball and place it into a glass of water. If it sinks before 60 seconds is up it's damaged.

Mine sank a little before the 60 seconds was up, and I am thinking that it could possibly be from the fact that I straighten my hair almost every day.

After the test I came to the conclusion that my hair would need the Medium-Thick hair formula. I also decided that it could use the Color hair formula. After working in a salon I learned that it's good for your hair to switch on and off with your shampoos and conditioner. It's also good to use one kind of shampoo and a different conditioner.

After a couple washes I could really see a difference in my hair. It was getting healthier and my locks were getting a lot of shine to them.
