On Friday September 11th,2009 8 years after the tragic attacks, Jay-Z held a "Answer the Call" benefit concert at Madison Square Garden where all proceeds would go to the families & victims of the 911 World Trade Center attacks. He raised over 1 million dollars. M.O.B's own Fashion & Saddity attended this concert alone :-( but of course it was like all 4 of us were there together. I must say the concert was insane & I loved every minute of it !
Jay came out & performed "Empire State of Mind" off of his latest Blueprint 3 album as his first song. I must say it set the tone completely ! Alicia Keys wasn't there to sing but Bridget Kelly did sing her part and she did good at it !
Other special guest performers included Memphis Bleek, Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West, Pharrell, Diddy, John Mayer, Kid Cudi, Swizz Beats and Mary J. Blige
